Amit drives business and relationships within Sonata's existing customers in the US. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science from the Delhi University and an M.B.A from the University of Allahabad.

He started his career with Sonata in 1990 as a Product Executive, managing Sonata's award winning desktop publishing software 'Prakashak'. Subsequently, he was Area Manager for Andhra Pradesh, Regional Manager for Eastern India and then moved on to Sonata's subsidiary, Sonata Software North America Inc. in the USA. He is also a Director on the Board of Sonata Software North America Inc.

Prior to joining Sonata, Amit worked for PCL (Pertech Computers) and as a Software Sales Consultant for Universal Computers Limited, Delhi.

Amit, his wife Ritu, daughter Anika and son Aarav live in Fremont, San Francisco Bay Area.
